Research is an important aspect of the Empire Township Historical Museum. Volunteers continually research aspects of the township’s history in an effort to add more to the museum’s digital archive. There are also scrapbooks available for browsing. Museum volunteers are ready to help you with your research – whether you are a student, have ties to LeRoy or want to learn more about local history. Our digital archive contains photographs, newspaper clippings, personal stories and memories and histories which have been written down through the years. The museum board also encourages others to share their information with the museum so it can be added to the archives to share with others. To request information use the contribute tab on this website and tell us what you are researching. This tab can also be used to add information to the museum’s archive.
The museum has a scanner, printer and copier available. Some information is available to check out.
To make a research request use the website, email the museum at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in at the museum on Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. Appointments can be made for other times.
