Angels in Calico is a fascinating program about the strong women of the Civil War who saw great needs and challenges and then did something about it! Learn about women who became nurses, volunteers to physicians on the battlefields, and organizers of campaigns to send supplies and money to the suffering troops. What did Louisa May Alcott, Susie Taylor, Clara Barton, and Mary Livermore accomplish, and how did it impact their lives? This is a program that will amaze and inspire everyone. A light tea will be enjoyed at this event.
